• Event Location: Gold Strike Hotel & Gambling Hall, 1 Main St., Jean, NV 89019
• Old West reenactors compete for prizes and bragging rights!
  • Gunfight Skits
    Reenactment groups compete in skits that always include a gunfight and often a lot of laughs. The top prize for this category is $1,200!
  • Encampments
    Historians put together period accurate camps. The small camps may have a tent and some authentic cooking gear. Some of the bigger ones include wagons and whole families wearing period accurate costumes. Big or small, they all know their history and so will you!
  • Costume Contest
    Cowboys, sheriffs, outlaws, saloon girls and many others compete for the most authentic period accurate costumes. These folks put a lot of time and money into making sure they portray the "Old West" as it really happened.
  • Living History
    This contest puts it all together. Historians use costumes encampments and many other tools to best tell the story of the "Old West".
  • Fast Draw
    Gunslingers from near and far and of all ages come to show their speed! We'll crown the fastest draw around! Even spectators can get in on the shooting!
• Fast Draw Competition
  A chance for spectators to shoot at real targets! We'll supply the guns and 'ammo'! You shoot!
• Live Encampments
  See first hand how life was during the "Old West" by traveling through period accurate camps from the Civil War to the Western Frontier!
• Living History Merchants
  Don't just watch. Get in the action yourself. Whether it's just a new hat or a complete authentic outfit, we'll have vendors to help you out.
• Food & Beverage Vendors
  BBQ. Tacos. Ice Cream. Root Beer. We'll have it all at the event site! You won't leave hungry or thirsty!
