The cowboys are back! Join us June 2 & 3 as teams face off in intense, and often hilarious, gunfight competitions. It's not so much who is the fastest draw, but who puts on the best show. The gunfight skits take place outside the Gold Strike Saturday and Sunday mornings starting at 8 a.m.

The action moves inside after lunch on Saturday where both the gunfight competitors and the Cash & Comp Club members can face off in a "Shoot Out" slot tournament. You'll have two hours to qualify by playing a free 5-minute session. All you have to do is present your player's club card at the tournament area between 12 noon and 2 p.m. and play your session. The 16 individual players with the highest qualifying scores advance to the "deadly" shoot out!

In the Shoot Out all 16 finalists play a 5-minute session. But you're ‘shooting it out' with the player next to you. Only the fastest (highest score) survives to the next round! We keep playing until we're down to one winner…who walks away with $1,000 in cash…AND braggin' rights!

At the end of each shoot out round the losing player gets a walk away fee. First round walk away fee is $25. The second round walk away fee is $50. The third round walk away fee is $100. The last losing finalist walks away with $200!

After the tournament we bring out the women! Town ladies, gun molls, and madams compete for the best dressed! Okay, so they're not really women of the night. They're just reenacting the part from the 1880s. But, we're still talkin' women in a dress contest! And these dresses are ornate! Points are scored for the most accurate portrayal of how women dressed in days of the Old West, circa the 1880s.

After the women it will be the men's turn to compete in era accurate costumes. You'll see authentically dressed cowboys, ranchers, town folk, snake oil salesman, and, if you're really lucky, a Bad Amish Man!

Saturday evening we'll host a meet and greet in the casino featuring hors d' oeuvres. It is open to the public and is great way to meet and speak with these representatives of U.S. history!
